No doubt innovation is key to the defense sector, as sector that relies on VC and PE funding. Funding that is managed by the private sector, as sector that may not have national security as one of it core drivers as recent banking failures may have to a lesser degree demonstrated.
Could this change in the U.S as a little know department called the Office of Strategic Capital (OSC) takes shape, in a attempt to counteract the investment power of other nation states. Securing funding for critically important innovation across the U.S defense industry. This may have some backing from U.S law makers and could be controversial.
