All sectors of the economy rely on manufacturing.

All sectors of the economy rely on manufacturing. Yet manufacturing is likely one of the least prepared sectors for the implementation of cybersecurity risk management and regulation.

Manufacturers spend less on cyber, find it harder than most to secure funding and cyber resources and manufacturers are one of the most effected by cyber attacks. Yet manufacturing is critical to putting food on our table, products on our shelves, energy in our lives, communications in our hands, fuel to get us where we want to go and so much more.

NIST created a Manufacturing CSF profile NISTIR 8183 (https://lnkd.in/dNk_MK84), that defines a level of cyber security compliance for the manufacturing industry that is tailored to risk. That should be read if you are in the manufacturing sector and considered if you are going to be affected by EU and U.S cybersecurity risk management regulation.

More so if you are a member of the board of a company that is affected by cyber regulation, as you will be required to demonstrate that you and your organization are cyber aware and compliant.

Please do reach out it you want to know more.
