Ted Dziekanowski Cyber is rumbling along waiting for the right moment and no one is quite sure publicly to attest to the capabilities of any side in the Ukraine Russian Conflict. Plausible deniability can be made for the gas pipeline damage, cyber on the other hand can be more clearly attributed by the signatures of the hack and code.
One thing is for sure, if any side is any good at nation state cyber and either sides defensive strategies are lacking, and they are, the outcome will be uncertain.
What we know is the cyber attacks can trigger NATO article 5 and collective defence that would be a significant escalation in the conflict. That hopefully is keeping everyone on the right sides of conflict escalation.
