A recent U.S. presidential order seeks stronger relationships with partner nations on cybersecurity law enforcement.
Only by working together with key law enforcement and prosecutorial partners in the EU can we effectively combat the threat that ransomware poses to our society,†Assistant Attorney General Kenneth Polite said in a press release on the two-day event Thursday. I am confident that the U.S.-EU ransomware workshop will spur greater coordination and collaboration to address the ransomware threat.â€
U.S. cyber regulations is moving at pace closely follower by EU cyber regulations, that combined create an environment of cybersecurity risk management regulatory compliance and enforcement for U.S. and EU companies. Closer working relationships between U.S. and EU law enforcement agencies is a positive step to ensuring the collaboration and enforcement of cybersecurity risk management. Organisations will have to ensure that they work hard to comply with cybersecurity regulations, as law enforcement works hard at enforcing regulations.
Closer relationships between ‘right of bang’ will no doubt mean law enforcement on both sides of the pond will be able to share appropriate information on hackers and hacks. Information useful for cyber law enforcement and an activity the U.S. Department of Justice is building precedence in.
