Call us now:
Thanks for posting Ted Dziekanowski. We need to prioritise a proactive left of bang approach to cybersecurity away from the right of bang, reactive approach. We see this through the paper written by Chris Inglis calling for a contract with society to focus on cyber; the failure of the cyber market to manage cyber security; and importantly the direction of cyber regulation that US federal government is adopting.
Putting ‘shields up’ is the correct response today. The challenge we face is what shields do we put up and how quickly can we raise them to protect CNI supply chains. Companies cannot address offensive cyber, that should sit with government agencies, but they can manage defensive. A proactive, left of bang approach including compliance, regulation, enforcement and government support is probably the only approach that can effectively deal with this over time.
