It is a pleasure to be included in the INTERNATIONAL SECURITY JOURNAL (ISJ) list of influencers for the 2nd year running. Some of my predictions for 2021 were close, such as increased cyber legislation, regulation and supply chain security. For my predictions for 2022, we will see ransomware continue en-force. There will be significant developments in cybersecurity regulatory enforcement and market legislation, that will bring corporate America on board with cybersecurity. In turn impacting the EU and APAC, driving regional and local cyber legislation and regulation.
We will see closer ties globally on cyber standardisation as buyers and sellers align themselves contractually around cybersecurity standards to do business. With the adoption of CyberSecurity Framework (CSF) profiles that are industry, mission and business objective specific, being preferred.
Unfortunately I predict that 2022 will be the year where we see the blurring between the affects of physical and logical cyber. As IT and OT system hacks create a much greater impact on our physical environment through. As global tensions across physical security domains increase.
