U.S Federal, State, Local and Tribal agencies face a difficult challenge with cybersecurity management, oversight and assurance. We created the Augusta Plan to address some of these issues, those with respect the CMMC and the impact it will have on Small Business and the National and International DIB. Not to replace the CMMC but to complement the program in achieving its goals and aligning with existing regulation under FISMA and the use of the RMF.

The proposal significantly increases the number of available resources both Nationally and Internationally for the oversight and assurance of cybersecurity across a complex DIB. It proposes the use of mission and weapon system risk management and cloud in support of the Federal Government manage and protect data within the defence supply chain. Supporting Prime contractors, if they own and manage their supply chains provide cost effective oversight and assurance of the cybersecurity of their subcontractors.

The proposal does not aim for perfection, but along with our Small Business paper, which highlights the challenges faced by Federal Government and cyber, could address the needs of the DoD and keep Small Business in the marketplace.

All topical points, some of which come out in Jackson Barnett FedScoop Article. (https://lnkd.in/d_kXVxWV)
