The US Senate Intelligence Committee has concluded in its 1st heavily redacted volume, 50 US states had their election systems hacked in 2016 by Russian intelligence. It did not find any evidence that election result results were manipulated.

In an interesting observation it suggests that the intrusions may have been a tester for future events and that election manipulation was not out off limits, hinting that it may be a tool the US was willing to use?
