Cyber, A roller coaster ride board members cannot get off
Cyber security is an issue facing all companies big or small, which boards will find difficult to ignore. It is an issue governments and regulators in all sectors are waking up to.
What makes cyber different to any other issue and risk boards face, is that it cuts across every member of the board, every function and all geographies. Irrespective of the products or services companies create or the markets they are in. A cyber breech can impact a company in almost real time, its not necessarily visible and in most cases the damage is done well before the breech is found.
