We’ve commented quite a bit on NIS 2 over the past year. We’ve created, tested and educated boards on digital, corporate governance, risk transfer, risk management, security programs and regulatory compliance. NIS 2 and DORA, along side the SEC final cyber rule transfer cyber risk management into the board rooms of covered entities. Increasing legal and compliance risk for cyber security risk management for board members as they introduce civil and criminal liabilities.

Compliance to EU NIS 2 is a complex program of risk management, cyber security and corporate oversight, assurance and attestation of cyber risk as demonstrated through a robust corporate governance process.

The time is now for boards to evaluate their maturity of cybersecurity risk management and develop the appropriate programs to demonstrate corporate governance, risk management, risk mitigation and assurance of cyber risk. Ahead of regulatory oversight.
