Not a normal post, but I’m pleased to have received the following recognition for the work put into the US DoD Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification(CMMC) program in 2020. It would be fair to say that the CMMC program has had some difficulties. But the intention of the DoD to deliver the program and cybersecurity risk management across its defence industry base has not changed, maintaining compliance against existing DFARS commercial requirements. Including UK and EU defence contractors.

So I’m posting this as recognition for all the hard work that all members of the CMMC AB Standards Working Group, who also received recognition, put into the design of CMMC assessment methodology in 2020. We individually spent allot of our time developing the CMMC assessments methods to evaluate compliance that fed the assessment guides and CMMC training programs.

Love it or hate it, the intentions of the program still remain. The program highlighted the need to manage cybersecurity and I hope has in a minor way supported the development of cyber standards, legislation and regulation between the US, UK and the EU.
