As the US government winds up for a summer recess there was a flurry of cyber regulation and AI activity last week. With the‚ Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs signing off six bills. Including the Deepfake Task Force Act, Artificial Intelligence Training for the Acquisition Workforce Act, the State and Local Government Cybersecurity Act, the Cybersecurity Opportunity Act, the DHS Industrial Control Systems Capabilities Enhancement Act of 2021 and the Domains Critical to Homeland Security Act.

A diverse range of bills focusing on cybersecurity and AI. That will no doubt undergoe further scrutiny. But start to address cyber regulation in the US and point to further regulation to come.
